I run Feeder Watch at Burroughs Community School in Minneapolis, MIN, where eleven K-4 classrooms are participating this year--around

300 watchers! The enthusiasm as students exclaim, "I saw a bird! I saw a bird!" for every single bird- be it pigeon, crow, or chickadee-makes every moment exciting. The students glow with pride that they are citizen scientists helping people learn more about birds and our environment.
